Coriolis Employee Establishes Organization “Save Lives in Ukraine”

The humanitarian aids organization "Save Lives in Ukraine" provides medical and hygiene products directly to people in Ukraine

Since the war in Ukraine unfolded on February 24th, Coriolis employee Veronika R. was looking for ways to help the victims of the war. She is Ukrainian and her family is stuck in and around Charkiw, a city under heavy attack by the Russian army. While over 4 million people have left Ukraine, over 7 million are displaced within the country and many more are not able or willing to leave their homes.

As a response to the tragedy in her home country, Veronika founded the organization “Save Lives in Ukraine” together with her friend Lana P. and other members. In coordination with several pharmacies in the Munich region, the organization collects medicinal and hygiene products and brings them into Ukraine. The first transport of goods already made it all the way to Charkiw in the northeast of Ukraine, close to the Russian boarder. “Bringing the goods into Ukraine assures that our supplies reach those millions of people, who need these products the most”, said Veronika. “We are working hard to help the war victims as best as we can.”

Several pharmacies have helped collect donations to support the organization. Among them, the Ungerer Bad and Delphin Apotheke in Munich, as well as the St. Jakobs Apotheke in Prittriching. Coriolis has supported the foundation and initiation of the organization with an initial donation of 3,000 €. “The overwhelming support from the very beginning was a huge motivator for our us”, explains Veronika. “We are currently planning the logistics of our second transport and hope we can send many more to the people in need.”
