The National Biotechnology Conference 2021 will be a virtual event
AAPS’ well-respected National Biotechnology Conference (NBC) will be held as a virtual even from 17 - 20 May 2021. Hundreds of pharmaceutical professionals from industry, academia, and regulatory organizations will join the four-day event. The scientific program will be organized in three tracks i) Nucleic-Acid-Based Therapies, ii) Antibody Therapies and iii) Cell-Based Therapies.
Organizer of the event is the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS), a professional, scientific organization of approximately 6,000+ members employed worldwide in industry, government, and academia. Founded in 1986, AAPS advances the capacity of pharmaceutical scientists to develop products and therapies that improve global health
Coriolis Advisor will be Keynote Speaker of the Nucleic-Acid-Based Therapy Track
We are proud that our scientific advisor Prof. Dr. Wim Jiskoot got invited as a Keynote Speaker. In his talk 'Formulation Considerations for Nucleic-Acid-Based Medicinal Products', Wim Jiskoot will give an overview of the various modalities within the diverse category of nucleic acid-based medicinal products. In particular, he will discuss the formulation compositions used for these products and highlight some of the current formulation and stability issues with these products, several –but not all– of which require (ultra) cold storage under frozen conditions. Further, Prof. Wim Jiskoot will discuss lessons we can learn from the past to improve the stability and storage conditions of these innovative medicines by means of formulation development, which should be guided by using appropriate analytical methods.
Coriolis Scientist Adam Grabarek will give two talks during the Cell-Based Therapy Track
New and exciting research data will be presented by Adam Grabarek during his Rapid-Fire Talk 'Deep Learning Flow Imaging Microscopy of Cell Based Medicinal Products' and he will also speak about new insights into the stability of Cell-Based Medicinal Products in his presentation 'The Future of Regenerative Medicine'
